These are some of the Sea-Doo friendly lodgings I’ve found in Ontario for Sea Doo, Jet Ski and Waverunner riders to stay. While I mostly ride day trips, sometimes an overnighter is fun and these places make it special. For your convenience, I’ve listed them alphabetically by their waterway location. Sorry, I haven’t got photos of every place yet!
Capricorn Motel Royale, Gananoque

Tucked away in the quaint Village of Ivy Lea, this mom ‘n pop motel is basic, clean – and has a huge parking lot behind it for trucks and trailer, with a good boat launch across the lane way. Smuggler’s Run Grill and Hideout is within view for dinner, and for breakfast, you can use the motel’s equipped snack room to microwave your own food.
Glen House Resort, Gananoque, Ontario

This family-style resort is located on the north side of the St. Lawrence River in the heart of the famous 1000 Islands. It offers dock and launch facilities for guests and provides ample free parking across the Thousand Islands Parkway beside its own Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course. Glen House has motel style rooms, cottages and suites, and an on site restaurant and indoor pool & hot tub complete its amenities. Ask for a motel room near the launch.

Pleasant Cove has everything a PWC rider needs from lots of docking in a sheltered bay near fuel in Pointe au Baril to plenty of parking and a good launch ramp. It offers a variety of modern housekeeping cottages that are spacious and clean, plus an outdoor pool and hot tub. Restaurants are located in town.

Part of the exceptional Muskoka Wharf complex at Gravenhurst’s waterfront on Muskoka Bay, The Residence Inn is an all-suite hotel that offers complimentary continental breakfast, its own indoor pool and plenty of parking. Walk out the front door to the marina and public dock and launch. Several restaurant choices for dinner are located nearby.

Located in a sheltered cove on the west side of the lake, The Rosseau has its own waterfront including beach and dock facilities. With ample parking, indoor pools and several restaurant options on site, The Rosseau provides a very pampered way to relax after a full day on the water. Fuel available at the marina next door.
Lake Temiskaming – Waterfront Inn, New Liskeard…
This waterfront motel has the on site Rooster’s Bar for dinner and is located next door to secure docking and fuel at the New Liskeard Waterfront Marina. Breakfast at Tim Horton’s a block away. Ask for a room at the marina end of the hotel.
Presidents’ Suites Haileybury, Ontario

This grand old renovated mansion operates as an apartment hotel, offering spacious suites, outstanding hospitality, mouth watering meals and a great outdoor hot tub. Although located on the water, their dock facility is minimal and exposed to the lake, but you can load and unload here, then dock at the sheltered and full service Haileybury Marina just to the south. Nicole or Jocelyn will be pleased to shuttle you back and forth.

Located across the road from the Hilton Beach Marina, which has ample parking, the Hilton Beach Inn offers motel rooms and suites, plus the popular Island Bar & Grill.
Sportsman’s Inn, Killarney, Ontario

Tucked away in the Killarney Channel, the classy Sportsman’s Inn is at the heart of a boater’s paradise and at the gateway to North Channel adventures. With its own full service marina, docks and fuel, the Sportsman’s also offers Sea-Doo riders luxury accommodations with balconies overlooking the harbour in a relaxed and casual setting that includes on site dinning. The Sportsman’s provides ample parking and the village public launch is just down the street.
Vance’s Resort, Spanish, Ontario

Primarily a fishing resort, Vance’s is a down home place that offers housekeeping cottages, its own docks and fuel and adequate parking. Launch here or at the marina next door. Bring your own groceries or drive to a restaurant less than five minutes away into town.
Valois Motel & Restaurant, Mattawa, Ontario

Located just south of the Mattawa railway bridge, the Valois Motel & Restaurant has its own docks and launch, with fuel available at the Mattawa Marina on the other side of the bridge. A decent roadside motel with ample parking, the Valois is known for its home-cooked meals and warm hospitality. Ask for a room in the motel unit beside the river.
Best Western Pembroke, Ontario
Ottawa River – Best Western Pembroke…
While not located on or near the river, this full service hotel is a great staging location for your Ottawa River Sea-Doo tour. It has an on site restaurant, indoor pool & hot tub, plus ample parking. The Pembroke Marina is located about five minutes away with a great launch, secure dock facilities, fuel and free parking. Ask for a ground floor room at the west end of the property near the back parking lot.
Stony Lake – Viamede Resort, the Kawarthas…
Located on the north shore of Stony Lake, Viamede offers both lodge suites and cottages plus several on site dinning options. The resort has its own marina and docks, plus ample parking for trailers across the road.
